2022 Street Improvement Project

August 5, 2022 Update - 
New curb has been installed on Maple Street and Locust Street. Topsoil and restoration along Warner Avenue will be continuing next week. The 1st layer of pavement on Maple Street and Locust Street is scheduled to be placed on August 12th.  New sidewalk on Maple Street is scheduled to be installed the week of August 15th.

New pavement on Warner Avenue and final layer of pavement on Maple Street and Locust Street will be placed in late August. Please note that the schedule is tentative and subject to change weather depending.

August 2, 2022 Update - 
Topsoil and restoration along Warner Avenue behind the new trail and curb will be completed this week. On Maple Street and Locust Street, new concrete curb will be placed this week. Once the new curb is poured, driveway access will be restricted for 7 days to allow the concrete to cure.

New pavement is scheduled to be placed in late August on Maple Street, Locust Street, and Warner Avenue. Access to Maple Street from Mahtomedi Ave (TH 244) will be closed until late August. For residents living on Maple Street, access to properties is available from Warner Avenue. Please note that the schedule is tentative and subject to change weather depending.

July 22, 2022 Update -
Construction is continuing on the 2022 Street Improvement Project. Topsoil and seeding were completed on Warner Avenue. In addition, new storm sewer was installed on Maple Street and pavement removal was completed for Maple Street and Locust Street. Excavation of the ground underneath the pavement and curb installation on Maple Street and Locust Street will be completed this upcoming week. Once curb is installed on Maple Street, driveway access will be restricted for 7 days to allow for the concrete to properly cure.

Throughout August, Maple Street and Locust Street will be built back up, with paving for Warner Avenue, Maple Street, and Locust Street in late August. Please note that the schedule is tentative and subject to change weather depending.

July 14, 2022 Update -
The Trail on Warner Ave has been paved. The contractor will be finishing up pedestrian ramps on Warner Ave this week and next week. Topsoil behind the trail is anticipated for the week of 7/19. Pavement removal and replacement on Warner Ave is anticipated in late August.

Work has also begun on Maple Street and L

July 14, 2022 Update -
The Trail on Warner Ave has been paved. The contractor will be finishing up pedestrian ramps on Warner Ave this week and next week. Topsoil behind the trail is anticipated for the week of 7/19. Pavement removal and replacement on Warner Ave is anticipated in late August.

Work has also begun on Maple Street and Locust Street. Over the next couple of weeks, storm sewer will be installed and the roads will be rebuilt. Please note that the schedule is tentative and subject to change weather depending.

July 7, 2022 Update -
Trail removal on Warner Avenue is now complete. Paving of the trail is scheduled for Monday, July 11th. Pedestrian curb ramp installation on Warner Avenue will begin next week. Construction on Locust Street and Maple Street will also begin next week starting with tree removals and installation of storm sewer. Locust Street and Maple Street will be closed to through traffic starting next week. Residents on Maple Street will have access to driveways at the end of each day.

June 24, 2022 Update -
The curb and gutter on Warner Avenue will be completed today, June 24th. The trail replacement along Warner Avenue will begin with removals next week and continue with installation of new pavement the week of July 4th. There will be no construction on July 4th, continuing back up on July 5th.  Construction on Locust Street and Maple Street is anticipated to begin week of July 11th. Please note that the schedule is tentative and subject to change weather depending.

June 10, 2022 Update -
Construction has started on the 2022 Street and Utility Improvement Project. A trail detour route is available for the Warner Avenue Trail and Streetcar Trail, which can be found at the link below. Locust Street between Warner Avenue and TH 244 will be closed for construction through mid-August. Next Tuesday, June 14th, Minnesota Paving and Materials will begin removing the trail, curb, end of driveways, and pedestrian ramps along Warner Avenue. Installation of the trail, curb, and pedestrian ramps will begin the week of June 27th. Construction on Maple Street and Locust Street will be starting after July 4th. May 31, 2022 Update - 
The 2022 Construction season is about to begin! The City’s contractor, Minnesota Paving and Materials is planning to begin work within the project area the week of June 6th, weather permitting. The contractor will begin with removal of the existing trail along Warner Avenue. Following this work, the contractor will remove and replace concrete curb & gutter and sidewalk along Warner Avenue. The remainder of the schedule includes complete road reconstruction of Maple Street from TH 244 (Mahtomedi Avenue) to Warner Avenue, complete road reconstruction of Locust Street from TH 244 (Mahtomedi Avenue) to Warner Avenue, and the milling and paving of Warner Avenue from CR 12 (Stillwater Road) to Maple Street. Please note that the schedule is subject to change. More detailed schedule information will be provided via email for those who have signed up for email updates.
