The Mahtomedi Fire Department is part of the Washington County Fire Rescue Dive Team. The Dive Team is made up of five departments; Mahtomedi, Stillwater, Scandia, Lower St. Croix Valley, and White Bear Lake.
Mahtomedi and White Bear Lake share a dive boat that responds to all Dive Team activations and water rescues within our response area. Mahtomedi also has a Zodiac air-boat and a fully outfitted dive rescue trailer.
Mahtomedi currently has five certified rescue divers and two rope tenders, and the department as a whole is trained in shore support.
